Côte de Beaune (part of the Cote d'Or in Burgundy) is a renowned wine-producing region. Many exceptional wines are made here, using grapes picked at south facing, sun bathed, steep vineyards. Winemaking goes back to Roman times. Famous appelations include: Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet
