Mezcal

Mezcal is a traditional Mexican spirit made from a variety of agave species, typically roasted in underground earthen pits, which imparts its signature smokey flavour. Unlike tequila, mezcal can be produced in multiple Mexican states and showcases a wide range of styles and flavours depending on the agave type, terroir, and artisanal methods employed. It is often enjoyed neat in small sips as a cultural and ceremonial drink, especially in Oaxaca.
