Rounded and expressive, with ripe pear and citrus fruit alongside white flowers, subtle spice and a gently savoury character. The palate has a lovely combination of richness and freshness, with Roussanne bringing perfume and texture while Marsanne adds body and depth. Generous without becoming heavy, this is a beautifully balanced Northern Rhône white with plenty of character.
The wine is a blend of 60% Roussanne and 40% Marsanne, sourced from Haut Chassis at La Roche-de-Glun and Malfondières at Mercurol in the southern part of Crozes-Hermitage. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically and the wine is fermented and matured using a combination of ovoid concrete vats and demi-muids. Natacha Chave’s low-intervention approach allows the texture and aromatic character of the two Rhône varieties to remain at the centre of the wine.
