Generous and fleshy, with ripe raspberry and bramble fruit at its core. Bay leaf, grey pepper and a touch of liquorice bring classic southern Rhône spice, while the palate remains fresh despite its richness. Supple, characterful and satisfying, with enough structure to work particularly well at the table.
The wine is a blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah from vines averaging around 25 years old, grown on clay-limestone soils with rolled pebbles. It is traditionally vinified in concrete vats, with a three-week maceration under controlled temperatures, before ageing for 12 months in old oak foudres.
