Method Magic Situated 40 kilometres southeast of Bordeaux, between the Garonne river and the Landes forest, the Sauternes vineyard thrives on a unique terroir of gravelly mounds, sandy slopes, and clay-rich subsoil, enhanced by the famed ‘noble rot’—Botrytis Cinerea. Grapes are hand-harvested in successive picks to select those perfectly overripe and botrytised. The juice ferments gently in stainless steel vats under strict temperature control, with fermentation halted at optimal balance. Aged for 10 to 12 months in vats and barrels, this blend of 80% Sémillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, and 5% Muscadelle emerges as a rich, balanced wine, best enjoyed within 8 to 12 years of vintage. Bottled exclusively for Maison Sichel, it is a sumptuous companion for cheese boards and special occasions alike.
