This is a very serious wine, a top tier Rosé. It is sometimes compared to light Burgundy because it is terroir driven and complex. There are aromas of red berries, sour cherry, blood oranges, sea salt and hints of chalk. Lively and refreshing on the palate with a great balance.

Method Magic A family-owned vineyard, Domaine Vacherons is owned by two cousins Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique, the great grandsons of the founder. In 2005, the vineyard was certified as biodynamic. Blends vary from year to year and are harvested from 50 year old vines in vineyards, 300m above sea level. These vines are only fertilised by compost. No synthetic or chemical materials are used. The grapes are then harvested by hand to ensure that only the best bunches are selected, and this also minimises damage to the grapes, helping prevent oxidation on the way to the winery. The juice is fermented using indigenous yeasts and is then spends 12 months in French oak barrels then a further 12 months in 25hl oak casks. The wine is bottled without being fined or filtered.
