The incredible copper-gold colour signals that this is a Pinot Grigio with a twist: the grapes are fermented on the skins to develop extra colour, tannin and aromatic complexity. Ripe strawberries, peaches and spice notes make this an approachable yet sophisticated orange wine with some real pedigree from renowned Italian producer Perusini. Pairs particularly well with a range of dishes, but also delicious on its own, with a dry finish and savouriness.

Method Magic Pinot Grigio grapes are harvested from Perusini's own vineyards in the celebrated Colli Orientali, grown on the area's special 'ponca', a marl and sandstone soil that encourages high-acid and aromatic white wines. After several days fermentation on skins in stainless steel, the wine spends a short time on lees for extra texture and bready notes, before bottling. Maceration on skins has a long tradition in the Friuli region of Northern Italy, called 'Ramato', i.e. 'copper' in Italian, on account of the particular shade extracted from the distinctive grey-pink skins of the Pinot Grigio grape.
