A vibrant expression of Gamay from the Juliénas cru, characterised by granite and blue-stone soils. Aromas of bright, juicy red fruit, think cherry, raspberry and strawberry, plum and violet. Notes of subtle peppery or saline mineral notes typical of its terroir add further complexity. On the palate it’s fresh and textured, with clean, ripe red fruits, fine tannins and lively acidity, making it both approachable and elegant. A brilliant Beaujolais we reach for again and again.

Method Magic One of the oldest estates in Juliénas, with roots back to 1642. In 2018, the vineyard was acquired by a team led by the Australian-Japanese couple Bob and Yuko Harris. Together with winemaker Antoine Romero, they have revitalised the business with a contemporary, terroir driven vision. The 15 hectare steep, granitic/blue-stone vineyard is now organic. Grapes are hand harvested and then fermented spontaneously using native yeasts. The wines are made using a natural style ethos with no fining or filtration and sulphur is only added at bottling. To preserve the freshness of the wine, it is aged in concrete vats for 6 months. This helps to balance traditional techniques with modern precision, while maintaining stylistic clarity.
