Think alcoholic Eton mess. Raspberries and whipped vanilla cream over crumbled rich digestive biscuits. A wonderful expression of Melbourne stalwarts of the world whisky scene, Starward. Fruity, malty and very, very indulgent, but in a way that makes you want more and more.

Method Magic Starward sources all their materials from within a day’s drive. This includes red wine French oak casks from the Barossa Valley: unlike most red wine finishing, these Australian casks are wet and fresh - delivering a full hit of juicy redcurrants and raspberries right into the whisky. Melbourne’s capricious weather adds the rest, bringing out intense flavours and extra nuance. Only 312 bottles made. 🥃
