Product Details

The house of Philippe Gonet's most emblematic Champagne: 100% Chardonnay, bursting with freshness and, above all, minerality. Pale and intense, it's full of tangy lemon aromas with finely textured bubbles. Whipped butter and brioche deepen the flavour, adding suppleness and that all-important moreishness that gets you reaching for another glass. A brilliant Blanc de Blancs with impressive finesse.

How It's Made

Founded in 1830 and rooted in the prestigious village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Champagne Philippe Gonet is now run by seventh-generation siblings Pierre and Chantal Gonet. They tend 20 hectares across 35 plots in eight villages. The Chardonnay for the Signature cuvée comes from the Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne and Montgueux.

After harvest, the wine spends six months in stainless steel followed by three years on its lees, before release at a Brut dosage of 7 g/l.

Champagne Philippe Gonet is a family-run grower Champagne house based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of the great Chardonnay villages of the Côte des Blancs. Founded in 1830, the estate is now in its seventh generation, with brother and sister Pierre and Chantal Gonet continuing the family's work.

The domaine has around 20 hectares of vines spread across 35 plots in eight villages, with Chardonnay playing a particularly important role. Rather than producing Champagne to a single house style at large scale, Philippe Gonet's wines reflect the character of its vineyards and the family's long connection with the Côte des Blancs.
