Method Magic Don Guerino is a family-owned winery based in Alto Feliz in Brazil’s Serra Gaúcha region. The winery was founded by Italian immigrant Guerino Motter back in 1880. After generations of grape growing, in around 2000, the winery started to modernise. Today, the estate cultivates approximately 55–60 hectares of vineyards at about 450 metres altitude on red clay soils. This provides ideal conditions for ripening aromatic varieties like Moscato Giallo. Wines are made with careful vineyard selection and modern temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentation. To preserve freshness and aromatics a selection of oak barrels and terracotta amphorae are used. The wine is aged on its lees for four months before bottling.
