Product Details

Incredibly smooth, soft and quaffable, this easy-drinking red is a change of pace from Argentina's usually more vigorous and heavy wines. Made from one of the country's first ever planted varieties, Criolla Grande, this bottle reveals a whole other wine landscape.... Fresh plums and cherries amid dried herbs and subtle tannins. It's a great discovery - and we're pleased to say others agree, for whenever we put this wine on tasting in the shop, we tend to run out quick!

Grapes & Type Criolla Grande · Red Wines 🍷

Method Magic Criolla Grande vines planted 80 years ago, on sandy soil in Junin, Mendoza, are delicately and lovingly managed by the Criolla Argentina team. Following hand-picking, 10% are kept whole bunch, for fermentation in concrete tanks. Macerated on skins for 15 days, plus full malolatic fermentation - giving both the deep colour and soft texture. Top-notch production has really brought this vintage variety back to life.
