Thereโs a meaty savouriness and a flash of cooked tropical fruit, while waves of vanilla and citrusy liftโthink lemon posset and lime leavesโbring balance to the blendโs smoky core. Method Magic The final release in Compass Boxโs Extinct Blends Quartet, Celestial draws inspiration from a lost blend of the 1960s, remembered for its luxurious flavour and equine-themed branding. Bottled in November 2023, it leans heavily into Islay single malts, with Ardbeg and Caol Ila forming the smoky backbone. Maritime notes of seaweed and juniper dance alongside mellow sweetness and herbal freshness. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 50% ABV, this is a whisky made for wide skies and wide-open conversations. Only 5,532 bottles released. ๐ฅ
