Method Magic Bosbrand Carignan is made from 100 % Carignan grapes sourced from two separate South African vineyards, including one of the oldest Carignan vineyards in the country and a younger block planted in 2003. Each vineyard parcel is vinified separately, with the fruit undergoing natural (spontaneous) fermentation, often with minimal sulphur and light filtration to preserve freshness and varietal expression. For the older vineyard component, the wine is aged for around nine months in large 600 L French oak barrels, adding gentle oak complexity, while the younger-vine juice sees around 30 % whole cluster fermentation to contribute structure and aromatic lift. After ageing, the components are blended and bottled, resulting in a wine that balances ripe fruit, floral lift, and oak derived spice.
