Method Magic António Madeira’s winemaking journey took root in 2017, when he returned to his grandparents’ village in Portugal’s Dão region. An area he believes holds some of the country’s true “grand cru” vineyards. Embracing a low-intervention philosophy, António champions biodiversity and organic practices (even if not all vineyards are certified). Grapes are fermented in traditional open lagares, shallow granite or cement vats that allow gentle extraction and natural oxygenation. A short maceration keeps tannins soft and freshness high, while aging in stainless steel for 9 months - no oak here - locks in vibrant aromatics and a pure mineral edge. No added sulphites. No lab-grown yeasts. No enzymes. No acid tweaks. Just honest, unadulterated wine.
