The grapes are hand harvested and crafted using the traditional méthode traditionnelle, with extended ageing on the lees to develop energy, aromatic complexity, and the characteristic Atlantic coastal saline minerality. Artadi, founded in 1985 in Rioja Alavesa by Juan Carlos López de Lacalle and a group of local growers, remains family led. Today, with his son Carlos López de Lacalle it is focusing on terroir-driven, minimal-intervention wines that emphasize purity and vineyard expression.
